How Do I Manage My Multiple Social Media Accounts?

If everyone out there is like me, you will probably have at least 3 or 4 Social Media accounts you operate frequently. I for example use Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. One major problem faced especially if you are using this social media profiles for your business or organization is; giving the same degree of attention to each  platform. Some social media platforms seem to get more effort and attention while some others lie fallow.

What this post wants to address is how you can successfully balance the management of each of your profiles so that there is always fresh content and you can reach out maximally to your audience.

1. Use A Social Media Management Tool

One big advantage of using a Social Media Management tool like Hootsuite, is the ability to effectively manage multiple accounts from one location. You can add your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other accounts to a single dashboard and post to all accounts from a single button. This saves you a lot of time as you don’t need to login individually to each account to make an update.

2. Schedule Posts

Scheduling your posts helps you to properly plan a timetable for your posts. It helps you to save time by updating all social media accounts at once and at specific times of the day. Also, it ensures that you maintain a consistent posting routine and always have great content coming up next.

Most social media management tools like Hootsuite, Buffer and Tweetdeck, etc have a scheduling feature.


3. Segment Your Audience

Managing an account that has a large number of followers can be pretty hectic manage. There would be a lot of content to keep up with.

A good way to efficiently manage your audience is to segment your audience into various categories. On twitter, you can create a list of followers and name the lists appropriately. For example, you can have a list named competitors where you track your competitors and observe what they do online. You can also have a list for celebrities and influential people. Segmenting your followers this way makes it easier for you to engage with your audience. T

This too can be done of Facebook. You can people and pages to an interest list.
